Senior Legal Program
El Concilio CA is a community-based non-profit based in California, mainly in Stockton. El Concilio, CA, offers many free public services, such as a Senior Legal program that helps seniors over 60. While working at El Concilio, CA, I assisted these programs with outreach materials; this included updating their brochures with new and accurate information.
Before I began redesigning the Senior Legal Department’s brochure, I met with the program’s manager and discussed key points that needed to be updated. Once we figured that out, we began to think of ways to make it stand out by using El Concilio CA’s brand guidelines. Adding the agency’s colors with its primary typeface connected the brochure effectively.
My process began by examining the previous brochure used and how the information was presented. This included having the information in both English and Spanish, as many clients only speak Spanish. I realized that it didn’t have many genuine photos, but the manager was able to provide me with photographs from previous clients. With this, I organized the information accordingly and have a presentable brochure for the Senior Legal Program’s clients to know the available services.
